Hi, I'm Rich Beem, patent attorney and founding partner of
Beem Patent Law Firm. Welcome to our offices in the historic
Monadnock Building
in downtown Chicago. Over my shoulder in the photo is the Chicago Board of
Trade, home of the world's leading commodities and futures markets and some of
our financial software patent clients.
I'd like to introduce you to my colleagues and tell you about the
exciting world of patents and inventions, the Patent Office, courtrooms,
conference rooms and client sites.

engineers, scientists, programmers, students, professors, and just regular
people, in all kinds of trades and professions and every industry imaginable.

property, e.g., trademarks and/or patents. Some of you are opposing counsel.

Patent law is exclusively federal, not state or local,
enabling us to represent clients from across the nation and around the world in
matters before the U.S. Patent Office. In
