Allison Williams is active in the prosecution and litigation areas of patent law. As a registered patent attorney, Ms. Williams has experience in many facets of the patent process. Her prosecution experience spans diverse technologies and involves working with inventors and corporate counsel, beginning at the earliest stages of the patent process and extending all the way through to issuance and enforcement of the patents.
Ms. Williams' work includes taking invention disclosures, conducting prior art searches, analyzing and opining on questions of patentability, preparing and filing U.S., international and foreign patent applications, preparing petitions and appeals, and rendering opinions on issues pertaining to patent law. She routinely conducts examiner interviews and responds to Office Actions with amendments and arguments to advance the prosecution through issuance.
Ms. Williams also litigates patent infringement cases in the U.S. federal courts, participating fully in discovery, depositions, motions, briefing, hearings, trials and appeals. In patent litigation, she is experienced in conducting legal research and preparing discovery and related motions and memoranda on issues of claim construction, validity and infringement.
