Beem Scholarship

Congratulations to Andrew Patz, the first recipient of the Beem Patent Law Firm Scholarship for Inventiveness in Engineering at Iowa State University.

Here are some of Andrew's comments about his engineering experience at ISU.

“In Fall 2009, I will start my senior year at Iowa State University. Along with a major in Mechanical Engineering, I will complete my B.S. with minors in Nuclear Engineering and Nondestructive Evaluation. After undergraduate school, I plan to attend another year at Iowa State to attain my M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. My focus for both undergraduate and graduate school is in the area of power production and industrial efficiency.  Other than engineering, I am involved in a few activities around Ames such as First Lego League, Skunk River Navy, and ISU Taekwondo Club. This fall I will be busy trying to help restart the Iowa State chapter of the American Nuclear Society."
