Foreign Patent Attorney

If you are a patent attorney or lawyer from a country other than the U.S., you and your clients may require assistance from time to time in obtaining, enforcing and/or defending against U.S. patents. At Beem Patent Law Firm, we are skilled and experienced in representing foreign clients in filings (including original, PCT and “priority” or “Paris Convention” filings based on applications filed first in other countries) in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (the Patent Office).
We also are experienced in patent litigation in the U.S. federal district courts, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. Supreme Court, and other courts and agencies having jurisdiction relevant to patent matters.
We also represent U.S.-based clients interested in obtaining, enforcing and defending against foreign patents and, in this capacity, we would like to get to know you and your capabilities, so that when we have need for assistance in your country, we will have the opportunity to call on you for assistance and representation on behalf of our U.S. clients.
Among other qualifications, Richard Beem serves as the Secretary of the Executive Committee of the U.S. Group of the Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI).
A note to foreign inventors:
We occasionally receive inquiries from inventors outside the United States. We represent many foreign inventors (neither residing in nor a citizen of the United States), through patent attorneys or lawyers in their countries of origin. If you are a foreign inventor, please contact a patent attorney or lawyer in your country and ask them to provide instructions concerning your U.S. patent matter to Beem Patent Law Firm.
